To ensure consistent product quality and compliance across our supply chain, PlastiFab maintains a defined set of Purchase Order Quality Requirements that apply to suppliers and subcontractors when specified on purchase orders.

Supplier Quality Expectations
Suppliers working with PlastiFab are expected to maintain appropriate quality management systems and ensure that all materials, components, and processes meet the specifications defined within purchase orders.
Key expectations include:
Quality Management Systems
Suppliers must maintain a quality system compliant with ISO 9001 or equivalent, and when applicable AS9100 aerospace standards.
Material Traceability
All supplied materials must include certification from the original raw material manufacturer, including material type, specification, and lot or heat traceability.
- Inspection & Documentation
- Suppliers may be required to provide:
- Dimensional inspection reports
- First Article Inspection (AS9102 when required)
- Certificates of Conformance
- Process documentation
Calibration Standards
Inspection and test equipment must be calibrated to NIST-traceable standards or equivalent.
Special Processes
When applicable, suppliers must maintain approval for required special processes such as heat treatment or stress relieving.
Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
Depending on the product and customer program, additional compliance requirements may apply, including:
- Counterfeit material prevention
- Foreign object debris (FOD) control
- ITAR export compliance
- Conflict mineral reporting
- Buy America requirements
- Supplier performance monitoring
PlastiFab reserves the right to audit supplier facilities, processes, and documentation when required to ensure compliance with contractual quality requirements. PlastiFab monitors supplier performance to ensure product quality and delivery reliability.
Suppliers are expected to maintain high levels of quality performance and may be subject to corrective action processes when non-conformances occur.
